LOCATION:  Pittsburgh, PA 



• Create well plans for mature fields with complex anti-collision requirements
• Make recommendations to optimize the well path.
• Planning and maintaining well plans based on engineer requirements to optimize well design in a timely manner
• Ability to generate real-time PVA and Spider plots on a daily basis
• Detailed anti-collision analysis and recommendations
• Attendance at pre-spud meetings
• Maintenance of directional drilling database & verification of final surveys
• Knowledge of survey correction techniques
• Daily QC of survey data received from the field
• Proficiency in torque & drag, hydraulics, and surge & swab modeling
• Verify final survey information is correctly loaded as per regulatory requirements
• Ability to work a flexible schedule and be on call as required



• Bachelor’s Degree
• Field experience is not required but a plus
• Proficiency with Landmark/Compass well planning software
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Knowledge and understanding of directional drilling
• Hardworking, personal drive, and relevant computer skills
• Detail oriented with excellent organization and time management skills
